Temporary change to Sundhöll Reykjavík Pool hours
Work to renovate the changing rooms at Sundhöll Reykjavík began earlier this summer. The construction has proven far more extensive than anticipated and remains underway.
During construction, men have been using the old changing room on the lower floor, while women have had access to both outdoor changing rooms. These facilities can accommodate around 60 guests, so pool capacity will be capped at that number during this time.
When school swimming resumes on Aug. 25, the pool's weekday hours will be temporarily adjusted until the women's changing room repairs are complete.
The updated hours are as follows:
Mondays: 6:30–10 a.m. and 2–10 p.m.
Tuesdays: 6:30–8:30 a.m. and 2–10 p.m.
Wednesdays: 6:30am–10pm (unchanged)
Thursdays: 6:30–8:30 a.m. and 3–10 p.m.
Fridays: 6:30–10 a.m. and 3–10 p.m.
Crews are working as quickly as possible to complete the changing room construction and return the pool to normal operations. The women's changing room is expected to reopen this fall.
